VIC Can tenant find new tenant when breaking lease ?where to advertise pls?

    If someone is breaking a rental lease to move to bought home , can they find a tenant to replace them and where do they advertise pls

    I personally wouldn't rely or want the tenant to find a replacement. If they want to break their lease then they are reponsible for the rent until a new tenant can be found by the owner/property manager that they approve of

    Imagine if the tenant found someone that was terrible and didn't pay rent, vandalised etc

    At least in commercial I can hold the outgoing tenant's bond and guarantees until renewal of the lease.

    Tenant is welcome to introduce a new prospective tenant who is welcome to apply and go through the same application and due diligence checking process like everyone else and is ultimately the Lessors decision which application they approve :)
