Unfortunately flights alone were 2k for the 2 of us due to being last minute and needing a specific time slot.

Accommodation is around $1400 I'm allowing the balance for food, drinks, uber etc.

In Melbourne? Wow. 2 weeks in Hawaii could cost about that much for 2.

@Azazel I don't tend to hold back when travelling, after all what's the point in doing all that I do and taking all the risks if I don't reward myself. It's only money after all, enjoying life is more important than hoarding it.

I keep a percentage of profits for completrly frivolous spending and as long as it's only a % and the majority gets reinvested and turned into more I'm happy with that approach.

Blew through 30k in 2 weeks in new York last year and don't regret it for a second.

Really? Bloody hell. I used to go there years ago with my now ex-girlfriend when it was divey and scummy and awesome. Haven't been there in well over ten years, though. From reading your post, I won't be going back any time soon...

Have schooners at the Prince of Wales (no pints :/). Nowhere near 13 dollaridoos, let me tell you. I prefer pints when available. The pub I go to other than the PoW has pints (woo!) and they are 8 bucks.

What's the deal with calling anything but a 600ml glass of beer a pint? I'm looking at you Adelaide.

We don't work in fancy offices in Martin Place or King Street Wharf. ;)

I work either out of the lower North Shore or North Ryde....

nice. i do have some really great clothes but im currently too fat for most of them.

luckily my gold shirt was made a size or 2 too big in anticipation of this problem, plus i can drink cocktails like a champion so thats somewhat mad men-esque
