It was nice enough driving through there, will check it out a bit more on the way back down. Was bigger than I remember it.
Interesting to see how the small coastal places are recovering after all of the combined events of the last few years.
I will definitely post you some photos of the banana stand! ;)

Cardwell looks great and they did an excellent job on the parks and water front areas after the last cyclone.... Innisfail bought a grand piano for council chambers with their insurance money!

I'll have to watch the bluth family adventures again soon after seeing that!

Yeah, looked pretty good with the nice paths along the esplanade.
Thought it might have been a bit too soon for:

Besides, everyone knows the best food in Cardwell is the pie cart.

You didn't see any action at Munro Park? The "no brawling " sounds might be working

Yeah, I wouldn't really walk through there at night. But same with Musgrave Park in Brisbane.

Seemed to be plenty of land releases in the Northern suburbs.

Nathan Birch buying up in Cairns now. I'm also seeing it heat up on the ground. Seen about 20 groups through an open home last week in Woree!

I don't necessarily agree, but I hope I'm wrong as I listed to sell last week.
There are a lot of projects talked about, none of which have gotten off the ground.
Aquis- was never going to happen.
Water park - should have happened, hasn't, why not?

Tourism and employment prospects have improved, but business activity hasn't changed at all.
No new hotel has been built for 20 years!

Listings are up 20% due to 12 months ago. People were holding for aquis etc, market started to move and now has stagnated for 12 months. More supply will continue to come on as people realise it's not going to happen.

Nevertheless, I hope you are right in case I can't sell.

How busy are things in say, Edge Hill?
I've got a brick house on 905m2 - developable, or a renovator for an OO. Not worth doing either for me though

Every southern suburb has had great growth, you could be referring to the northern suburbs. The tourism numbers have increased dramtically which will bring what you need

That particular property was large, need a cosmetic makeover and was on the borderline to bayview heights. When i went there i actually thought it was bayview heights. Rents are also great in woree

Probably not performing the best of the suburbs, but could only be taking just start to take off. I would check what it did last boom cycle that will give you a good indicator of what it might do. Also didnt have aquis and a water park then, it was tourism driven.

    Dear mates :

Please see this report from the national (credible) newspaper of Singapore.

Possibly the govt is determined to do something about the North this time.

    Sorry mates.

I think the previous attachment is too blurred. I hereby attach a slightly better one as below. Sorry my phone's camera is not working very well.

Would be good if they paid some attention up there.
Upgrading the highway would be good too.
