You might have to go out to cabramatta to get a price this low.

    I pay between $1300-$1800
Good solicitor for a property purchase is important. Consider them your insurance in case things don't pan out as they should. You don't want one that's going to roll over and die when you need them to most.

So true thank you very much for your time, the other thing I have heard is that the inspector is responsible for the report and if anything goes wrong within the first five years he knew there are consequences, is this is correct?

No - most inspectors have a fine print "all care, no responsibility" disclaimer clause.

$500 will get you a conveyancer if you are lucky. $1000-2000 for a solicitor

Soso, do you actually understand the responses to your question? Do you understand what the difference is between a $500 conveyancer and a $1500 solicitor?

I have no experience and what I have asked is what relatives told us that’s why we don’t know where to go and to who and how much is the cost range.

The thing is that your not asking the right question. Its not how much it should be, its what you get at each price point. I also suggest educating yourself about the process so that you can assess who you hire.

The title of your thread sounds like you want to buy a solicitor :D
In all honesty, I too thought you wanted to buy a legal practice.

We don't call them "buying lawyers" - they are usually known as conveyancing solicitors/lawyers
