    Agree it’s going to limit your market, less then 2,500 population, some people do the daily trip to work in Tsv or go to school, uni etc rather inconvenient is an understatement IMO

    I know a few people who live on the island. They love it, but yes, it's very inconvenient unless you are retired. Some manage that by owning a flat on the mainland as well as a house on the Maggie Island so that they can stay in town overnight when needed. Others manage it by working from home when possible and moving off the island once their kids get to the age of having a lot of after-school activities and social events on the mainland.

    Also bear in mind that house prices on Maggie suffered even more than on the mainland when the Townsville real estate market crashed some years ago.
