I'm looking into buying the house that I'm currently renting (5+years), which is government owed in SA,

And I'm wondering what are the chances of reducing or avoiding stamp duty when buying from the government/housing trust? If any

I think there are schemes for first home owners and reduced stamp duty.

I hop Ur getting a good deal. It is a great idea

From the research I've done there doesn't seem to be many schemes left in SA, unless you're building,
So just trying to find anyone that has bought

So I'm looking for anyone that may have brought a government/housing trust home, & wether there are any exemptions when doing so, as there doesn't seem to be much information online about doing this in SA

Don't think you'll have much luck there as it's an existing property you're buying.

Government owned? Give it a good fumigation. Bound to be some nasty roaches in there.
