    Hi Guys,

A relative is looking to buy a small house or town house in inner city Melbourne to live in ie not an Investment Property. We have found there has not been much stock in the past few years and my relative has not managed to find anything despite coming close a few times.

We were wondering about hiring a buyer's advocate. What I am keen to know is if buyer's advocates can source off-market properties that are not advertised on real estaste.com or other similar websites.

My relative has the time to look and is knowledgeable in property matters it is just proving a slow process.

Does anyone have any recommendations and I would be keen to hear peoples thoughts.

    thanks

    Jackie.

If you are looking in the West, @JacM is great, she has done a great job for a bunch of my clients and I'll be using her my self once I finalise my tax return!

Thankyou for the kind words @Rolf Latham and @Simon Moore . @Jackie768 to answer your question, generally yes a Buyers Advocate will have access to some off-market opportunities. Just how many depends on the strength of relationships with agents. Approximately 50% of what we've been buying lately has been off-market. Hope this helps. :)
