Now that is my dream property.

I wonder how much it will go for?

Looks like it went for auction last November.

A chopper would be handy to hop over to the mainland when necessary.

One could walk around in the natural and not be bothered by anyone on that island. Actually, you could start your own natural walk around tours there. Ahh, better not go there.

Make a big drag strip down the middle, grow some cash crops on the side.....?

    $8,000,000

It was also listed for sale for $5 million in December of 2015.

lol. No, no, no. That's the old datto. I've turned over a new leaf lol.

Well OK , a drag strip down the middle and a burn out corner would be nice.

Maybe @chylld and everyone else on the Let's talk cars... thread can do a syndication, buy the island and build a big race track on it.....

    We'll call it Datto Island.

Has to have a Macca's franchise. Maybe even the dirty bird.

Sounds exciting. Just need 20 x $1m subscribers.

Interesting that they bought it as an investment at $5m and were positive it would go up. It didn't sell at auction and has now been on market for quite awhile would indicate that it might not have gone up at all.

Pretty risky syndicate to assume growth over 3yrs.

The Government could use it. An onshore resettlement waiting area. Get fisheries to breed some great whites.

We can do this on land which would be much more accessible and economical... I am also more than half interested in the idea :)

Or if someone in NSW has already done so, just go and drive there :D

Private circuit, only had the privilege of driving there twice, both times organised through Lotus. McLaren also do occasional trackdays there.

Yes, but does it have the special breed of botanicals that Datto island will have in the track infill areas?

I think it's still early days.

But to buy in cheap now may be the way to make big money in a few years time. I think the same applies with lithium etc for coming electric revolution.

The thing with the medicinal weed is that it seems its not accepted by many. That's why it's so expensive and hard to get.

Why the the heck are they importing it? There's enough of the stuff in Mt Druitt to last out the century.

And you can't question the quality. Have a look at the people walking around the shopping centres. They wouldn't know the meaning of pain or glaucoma.

Legalising the plant won't hurt anyone except wardrobe manufacturers.
