Pretty interesting how often these ‘panics’ used to be.
Another reason why we have it so good today. And for some reason (the media I think), people regularly believe and act like it’s the scariest and most volatile in history.
Tough times during the depression here in Oz. People talk about unemployment now.
My mother was born in 1925 in the Swan Valley, WA.
Her father managed (but did not own) vineyards. Her most powerful memory of being a small girl was sitting in the passenger seat of the open truck or tractor, and the constant calls, wherever they went, of "Any chance of a job, boss?"
I think if you haven't lived through something like that, it is difficult to imagine.

Well.. if history will repeat itself than at some point in time the monetary system may well change again....? I don't doubt it, I just hope we are in that period where it doesn't affect us too much, sometimes it is up to luck in the period we were born and live, wouldn't you agree? So far very lucky us!
