any recommendations for a simple app to organise and send invoices and statements etc for a fledgling business? Prefer Apple if available.

Depends on what the business is doing I guess?

For us, we estimate, track and invoice via Harvest (about $60 per month for up to 5 users). Not sure how good it's app is as I run it off desktop).

The we use Xero for the bookkeeping and accounting, again about $60 per month. Harvest and Xero integrate really well. Invoices are automatically copied to Xero when raised and payments logged into Harvest also copy straight over to Xero.

Why the need for Harvest in this case. Is it possible to just use Xero?

We use Harvest for Time Sheets and Project tracking too though, time sheets and projects are all linked and shows us how we are tracking in terms of budgeted hours against estimates plus actual costs analysis at the end of each project @Wukong

Yeah, Harvest is probably overkill for anyone not billing time. If you are - I also recommend Harvest (but I've not used their app either - web interface only).

Otherwise, for simple invoices most online accounting software will do what you need - I use Saasu, but Xero is the big fish and also check out MYOB.
