A water pipe burst and the water has caused damage, strata arranged to have the leak stopped but there remains damage before the unit can be let again.

    1. timber laminate flooring in the kitchen, including the laminate the kitchen cabinets have been installed over
    2. carpet in the adjoining lounge, hallway and bedroom
    3. dampness in the wall has caused the paint to fall off

Is there one company we can deal with to get all the repairs & replacements done or at least a quote?

Or are we better off just lodging the claim with the insurer and having the insurer manage the repairs & replacements?

I have landlords insurance, should I ought to have my insurer deal with strata?

Building insurer to manage the repairs.
Don't do anything yourself unless instructed or you may not be able to claim.
