Was wondering if anyone has tried bunnings latest carpet installatin

    $450 per room installed

seems rather expensive byt if all your rooms are big then it would work out well,
assuming a 10m2 bdr, it works out to be $45 per sqm,

I ve seen them as low as $25 per sqm installed at bunnings before

I've used it in several properties over the last year, including my PPOR. Their price depends on the carpet you choose. I chose the next range up which I think was $650 per room. I also got quotes from other carpet shops and bunnings was much cheaper.

The quality of the carpet is fine too.

I've noticed it does vary between locations. I could buy quite nice carpet in Canb for $650, whereas the range in Adelaide at the same price wasn't as nice and I went with the local carpet shop instead.

I know some of the cheap carpet installers use Bunnings carpet.
Might be worth giving some of them a call.

I've used them for a few Reno's and was happy with the result :)

I've only done one and found decorug to be the cheapest, can't remember if they had a sale on or not. Turned out looking good, only annoyance was the installer put a dent in the wall with a door handle after removing the door stop to lay the carpet.

Not sure what city you're looking at, but there is one that's about $250/room in Brisbane.

Done it twice and it's been great both times. Decent quality carpet and can't complain about the install.

    Cheers

There's a sign up at the main intersection in Enogerra. I think they're Carpet Direct Enogerra, 07 3354 3244. I got 3 bedrooms, lounge and hall done for a bit over $1k I think.

Thanks for the tip Joel - I'll try them next time I have carpet to do. The mob I went with recently for a place up that way found everything just a little bit too hard.....

Bunnings was willing to beat their quote but had a 4 week lead time. So technically they were the second-cheapest. They did mention there were certain streets in the area that they refuse to service e.g. the next street over from mine

I found in Logan Bunnings where by far the cheapest with their $450 per room, but boy where they slow, the whole process took about 2+ months which was a complete joke. You order through the store but to chase up any issues like the date when you job will be done you can spend an hour or more on hold to talk to the carpet section/warehouse! I found most of the big carpet places very expensive in south Brisbane.
