It really depends on the buyer. They might be a big fan of everything Egypt, have their heart set on it and out bid everyone else to buy the property.

[IMG] A japanese garden will add value.
You can add some structural aspects like a bridge ,pergoda or a pavilion.
Small rock that can be raked, larger rock 50-100 ml for a dry creek bed . A couple of weeping maples bamboo and azalea . A secluded/partioned area with a seat to unwind.

Soil erosion is not a good look.

Definitely onto something here. It's a niche market. Can't wait to see progress Pics and also some before and after numbers.
    Build and they will come...
You'll probably need some German back packers to help build the temple.

Would you go down the inDiana Jones theme? Great movie

I will take before and after photos if you're interested in seeing them.

I have to level the area first to get a flat base. Should I use sand on the dirt or not? I plan to put time capsule as well.

I think the chances of finding one person who loves everything Egypt will be one in a million.. the chances finding two people who will get into a bidding war over the temple? You're better off buying a powerball ticket ;)

If your design concept revolves around the pictures you had in your OP then you'll have more luck with someone who is a fan of Mexico, given that one of them was clearly El Castillo at Chichen Itza while the other was reminiscent of a Palenque ruin.

You asked for feedback, I gave it. You didn't want to hear it. That's fine, at the end of the day it is your place.

However, you are saying that this would make this a unique feature... what that means is you won't know HOW much value this will add (or detract) until it is finished. You can't compare it to what is out there... because there is nothing like this out there.

Every now and then there are heaps of articles about 'unique' properties or features that people thought would do well because they were unique and it failed. Miserably.

If this is a fun DIY project for you, then go ahead and do it. What I am saying is that don't be disappointed if it doesn't add any value.

The design is not based on OP but the 9th post on the first page.

Just wondering if I fill it with dirt will it expand and be displaced over time? will I have to use pavers in the inside and make it solid instead of dirt?

Will there not be access to inside? Value add potential if you can worship in there

The core will be hollow shaft to the apex.

There will be mirror inside so special positions will be illuminated during solstice.

The temples in and around ankor wat near siem reap in Cambodia. I sussed them out yesterday. Give them a squiz, they are truly unbelievable! I would get inspiration from them! I'd like to loosely base my dream home on them haha! It's all about the detail mate :)

If you can make this look like anything other then a leftover pile of pavers for only $500-1000 your skill set must be better then most

I like your optimism, at the end of the day I think if you want to do it and it will be a fun project that should possibly be the main driver. The rest will be icing on the cake:)

@fullylucky may be on to something here.

If he puts up this sort of picture on airbnb and a couple of his interiors he'll get some elevated levels of interest.

    @Gockie might follow suit.
