    Just to update everyone, we didn't proceed with the purchase because we might be shelling out 26K+ to rectify the issues, plus the cosmetic renos. Although the vendors already offered to reduce the price and also make a second building inspection/extend the contract.

    The agent is highly recommended and the entire process was not as stressful as it could have been especially since it's an interstate purchase.

    Good to hear, sounds like it would have been a hassle. And who knows how much it could have ended up costing. Maybe they were keen to reduce for another reason you don't know about?
