I would like to build a duplex under Parramatta Council that is on in lower side of the road, has downstream towards to the backyard.

I am trying very hard to build a professional team to help me out for the project
    1. What will be the right question to ask Architect?
    2. Is it good or bad to get Architect in charge of whole applying DA approved?
    3. Are there any other professional that I can get help in charge of applying DA?
    4. How much fees are fair for Architect work-on: 670sqm land with 5 bedder Duplex
    5. If I've registered and become an Owner-builder and employed Professional to help me to build own house, can I claim Tax benefit?
    Many thanks

    Hi
All your questions are valid. You need to work out -
    1. Are you going to live in one of the dwellings
    2. Can you take time off your work haphazardly
    3. Is your aim just saving money
    4. What are your duplex requirements
    5. Would you earn more in your job in overall 3 months of holidays against saving $30k to $50k
    6. Do you want construction to finish within 9 to 10 months

Feel free to ask me any other queries

What tax benefits are you seeking to claim? You're the owner, client & builder. You're not a separate person, so what is the question?
