    Hi there

With regards to building contracts, is it normal for prime costs allowances to be detailed for kitchen appliances & for wall & floor tiles.
& Provisional sum allowances for labour costs to be detailed for wall floor tile laying & concrete.....
    cheers

I've not seen PS for concrete (as in the slabs??) before but I have seen provisional sums for
    - earthworks
    - retaining
    - air conditioning
    - blinds
    - landscaping

PC items are often used where there is an allowance, like floor tiles and you can choose up to the allowance and anything over you pay for.

If your tender had a pretty tight set of specifications down to appliance brand/model then there is not much need for PC.
