Keen to get some advice or stories from builders currently conducting business - mainly for motivation and inspiration. I've got 15 years experience working for others, so I know it's something I'm very passionate about. I've recently established everything - licences, insurances, company and dropped a bucket load of my money into this process etc. I'm in the very early stages of my business and am building 2 basic houses - one is a month from finishing and one is being designed so I have a LOOOOOONNNGGG way to go. During this time I have also been working for somebody else as my financial situation doesn't afford me the luxury to go out lone wolf - straight away. I only manage trades, I do not work on the tools, but I can do almost everything if it was needed (tiling, carpentry etc). Just curious to hear the stories of others and have noted some questions if you are willing to share. - How you established - Challenges faced - Transition from worker to business owner - How long did it take - Was it worth it - What niche - renovations, new homes, property development, commercial Thanks in advance
