You're going to need to provide a bit more info.
    At a minimum;
What style car port do you want; prefab, wooden structure, concrete?
If you want the drive done as well, how long/wide is it?
    What surface do you want?
    Is it flat or sloping?

I'm actually looking to do the same soon, or a garage.
But are not yet at a stage of knowing prices.

I am looking for the cheapest carport (n can last longer) with concete as the floor, as it's for my investment property (so not intend to spend to much). I think a standard width is good enough plus a concete driveway?

    Did one recently
    Highway robbery

    What council? @Yson

Single carport 6x3m likely won't need approval so just build it.

For around 4-6k worth it. Rent appeal plus extra 10pw

*edit. Did one on qld for 3300 off the side of house

Really depends on what sort of accommodation and tenants you want to attract.

For me (and my mentor) prefer to provide good quality accommodation. The easiest question I always ask myself is could I live here myself.

Because if I couldn't live here it is going to be someone worse than me likely to rent it.

If you are purely interested in cashflow then it wouldn't make sense in a way but if you spent 10k to gain 30k value plus another 20 p.w in rent - is it worth it?

For me personally I wouldn't rent a place that didn't have car accommodation as I would like my car/s protected from damage, ideally I would want a garage.

Another advantage is you are able to claim back the investment at tax time (seek your own indepenant advice).

Claiming Depreciation on Investment Property: The property investor's complicated friend

So really it is up to you if you do it or not, if you only had 10k left in the bank I wouldn't do it, however if you had 100M then why are you on the forum :)

Bob there were too many variables and still are, we can really only guide him and for me I prefer to be conservative and have a nice surprise than go that's the price and then fall short and just have the poles up haha :).

I think there's enough from the rough description. Im a fan of going conservative prices considering we have no idea what's actually there
Single car. concrete driveway. Safe to assume fairly standard
If there's a crazy slope or heritage then the first guy that comes to quote will explain and charge.
