Being on the ground, I can confirm reports that
    1. Brisbane growth is becoming more widespread
2 cg is increasing at a faster pace

This is still a bit slow, but it seems to be more evident, whereas before was more hit or miss with Brisbane. Further, there seems to be a bit more conviction in buyers that wasn't there before..not fomo.. But not nonchalant either.
The above is not hype... And generally consistent with reports as well.
I think we will see a strong spring selling.

Where did you get information from to come to this conclusion?

Talking to sellers and buyers as well. And a couple of BAs
    Attending some opens.
Consistent with reports (published on other threads).

I agree, some suburbs are selling very quickly, many properties under contract before they go on REA.

In general, brisbane market performs better in the second half year. This now may couple with other good fundamentals.

Not surprise at all, I have a few friends and relatives in Sydney have been actively looking or brought there very recently. For some of them it's their first investment too. what this means is that the words of Brisbane being the next hot investment destination is truly out.
From now on, a lot more new and equity money will be channeled to Brisbane+GC from the south as the boom in Sydney is now truly over.

    Yep..
    And businesses are also responding
    Eg
'..Air China will begin flying direct from Beijing to Brisbane four times a week from December under a deal that the State Government hopes will put Sydney and Melbourne on notice.
    ..' source: courier mail
A while ago, a bunch of us mentioned that Brisbane would compete more directly with the Mexican dominance.. This kinda news is further evidence of that.

The more the merrier. If PC can influence perception even 1% which then has knock on effects, then I'm in.

Further.. This is continuing. Another week yo week noticeable jump in jobs for Brisbane.
Again, not Sydney style explosive growth, but definitely the pace has picked up. This should flow through to capital prices very soon.
It's not too late for those who haven't bought yet..but have missed getting in at bargain prices. - Still attractively valued, just not a steal like it was a few years prior.
All Mexicans and BRICS investors should take note... Brisbane will be the place with the most balanced (lowest risk) yet highest cg play for the next 5years at the least.
Above is not hype (except maybe the last line:)
