    {Note - thread continued from here: QLD - Brisbane Property Q2 2018}

    4 successful auctions on the gold coast yesterday.

    Barring public hols, its the lowest I've ever seen it in 6 years, be it winter or not o_O

    I got a similar one (but it was typed, not handwritten) - they just want to be close to the park. There was an email address on it, so I thought I'd get in touch.

    Sure enough - they are private buyers, and letterbox dropped the same typed letter into 250 local homes. They want the block of land, and not the house. We are considering it......

    May be better to put it on the market if you think its a highly sought after block.

    Ha ha , it was not long after it was rezoned and to be honest made me realise how far behind the game I am if it had anything to do with that....

    We will get a valuation in its current state - reno is three quarters done, and want to find out whether it's worth selling in its current state, or finishing it off. Lots of unknowns at this point.

    That is not a bad price for the area:

    Understated elegance...!

    Bought in May 2014 for $552,000. Sold 4 years later for $931,000. Obviously renovated.

    197 buyers inspect this home and received multiple offers!!!!

    Can't wait until Brisbane really starts to boom :D.

    Think things will be subdued until the end of the year, while Sydney and Melbourne correct, and people get a bit nervous.. maybe midway through 2019 until 2020 we will see some decent gains as Brisbane is seen as the more stable market.

    If that is subdued, I can’t wait to see what a boom looks like :D.

    Any Brisbanites here who can give me some idea on the state of affairs on the ground. Heard many positive news about the market but would like trusty PC members to confirm.

    I am in Brisbane , I am seeing a fair bit of uncertainty out there thanks to the royal commission etc . Market appears to be softening , hopefully only temporarily.

    People seem to be willing to part with large sums for new builds in very average suburbs. Was one recently for a million in geebung too. Crazy. At least Mansfield has the school catchment I guess

    I thought this one would get a bit more than 825k at auction today
    and quite a few passed in...
