    I'll be gritting my teeth whilst listening to the latest "all singing, all dancing" amended version of the family history. I wonder what the next twist will be? Have you noticed nobody ever says "my forebear was a drunken, womanising ne'er do well who ran a brothel". It is always a Lord or an Earl or a Spanish Princess.

    Pffffft!!!

    Wish I was coming to the meet-up. :(

    Hi all!

    I've just seen this and if it's ok, I'll come by? I've ended up in Brisbane today on a last minute trip and although I didn't have any (semi) formal property engagements planned, I'm always up for a property chat with fellow investors....so you'll have to excuse a more casual attire than I would normally like.

    Cant believe roughly half the attendees are Sydneysiders or ex Sydneysiders!

    It was great to meet you Andrew and put a face to the name (ditto @standtall)... This is Brisbane... Formal attire in a meetup is out of place here!

    I was tempted to take a pic of the food... Thursday special, chicken schnitzel burger with halumi is out of this world! Huge burger.
    Must be eaten to be appreciated. The dirty fries are amazing too. Great venue. And parking on street. +++

    Their sangria only comes in a jug. I watched the lady make it - 70% ice, one cup of shiraz, a few strawberries and three oranges blended up. Now I understand why I have heard so many stories of ladies who drink it by the jugfull. Very healthy.......... (and I did share it, I swear)

    Yeah, that is the second meet-up in a row that you have 'deliberately' avoided me :) :). Not that I am counting.

    I might have to come to some Sydney meet-ups and give you the same treatment. Probably would be worth the airfare, meals and accommodation. Would it be tax deductible as it is property-related?

    @Gockie, on a serious note, next time I am in Sydney or you in Brisbane, we must set aside some time for a chat; could be over a coffee, at a meet-up or whatever. Deal?
