    :D Couldn't help it.

Will Brisbane real estate continue to excite, add zeros of wealth and take investors to new heights of median suburb values?

Here's to (hopefully) another absolutely smashing and dashing year for Brisbane real estate!

    Happy new year to all.

Yes, I hope so too. Plenty of vested interests from so many people in this forum for Brisbane market.

For 2021, Brisbane houses went up by 30.35%, units 12.73%. For month of December it was 3.12% for houses, 1.62% units.

Good to see units going up at long last. Units are going to accelerate as Brisbane houses become unaffordable for 1st home owners.

Moving forward, Brisbane is tipped to have the highest growth of all the capitals in 2022, albeit with prices rising at a slower rate than in 2021. Three of the big four banks predict Brisbane’s real estate market will outpace other capitals, before coming off the boil in 2023 when interest rates begin to rise.

Westpac is the most bullish, tipping a double-digit rise of 10% for Brisbane dwelling prices, while ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank expect a price growth rate of 9%.

I'm guessing 30% in the mid to outer ring.

30% only just brings it in line with the long term average, and doesn't even account for an overshoot.

Overshoot, big boy, I dare you.

I'm picturing him swatting off his wife and family telling them he had important work to do as the seconds counted down to midnight.

    He sat there, focused, poised.

    Important work, indeed.

Given the hype around new land tax to discourage investors, will it cont. to grow with the same speed as 2021?
