Hey Everyone, Im new in the game... I've recently extended my search to Brisbane. Id like to know the suburbs i should stay away from. If anyone could guide me to some areas in Brisbane that suits a $500k budget that would be awesome! Thanks
Simply Google search 'Property Chat Brisbane' and you'll find a lot of historical, though recent, threads on this topic with very informative posts (thanks to the posters here). North of the river you'd be hard pressed to find anything in the middle ring for low 500s but there are still outer ring options at this price point. From what I've read the general consensus seems to be that inner and middle ring Brisbane is poised for a boom and that certain areas in the outer ring, while they may not 'boom', will provide still provide a decent long-term investment.
When i did my searching in middle ring north, only the west side of Keperra was rough. All suburbs were quite good. Mitchelton is a great stand out suburb.

@Mulianto are you aware these sites are Mixed Use zoning? Also back 1/3 covered in overland flow. A large portion of #30 is also in a noise overlay. Hope this helps.
Yes I considered taking 25% off the land. Mixed Use is giving me more options for the future. Just land banking for now. Are you a local Melinda?
Check flight paths for areas to avoid. Also flood zones. Also fringe suburbs up north (crime?). I love Logan, but apply the same crime criteria to other suburbs .... even in logan. Gold Coast is actually looking reasonable as well as Bris. Rochedale South worth a look. Good luck
There is an interactive tool on the airport website Flight Path Tool - Brisbane Airport 2nd runway now sends planes over my place some suburb winners and losers in the inner city as flightpaths change
