Brisbane: Cost estimate to add 1 Bedroom and 1 Bath(+ toilet) to 30yr old house

    Personally I wouldn't bother. All the effort/capital/risk involved for an extra $30 a week makes no sense to me at all.

    No room dimensions given, but I agree the most economical action would be to convert the existing garage and laundry to a bedroom and combined en-suite/laundry.

    Add a carport at the front if room.

    As well as extra rent, you should achieve a higher price on resale.

    Thanks Joynz. Plan is not to scale. I like your suggestion to convert the laundry to include a toilet and bath.
