Anyone been following the mother of a recession unravelling in Brazil? Not happy times at all.... Could that happen here?
Possibly , but we have more things in our favour including: No Zika virus or rampant crime and corruption, even with the Olympics later this year is it on anyone's radar as their next must travel destination? Maybe it is?. We also have a growing tourism industry and a successful education sector. Our government and institutions are more stable. Inflation in Brazil is very high, nearly double digits. Australia's current inflation rate and unemployment is much lower. Despite all the D&G I can't see much changing, we are in a low growth environment for the foreseeable future.
Off topic but most of my volleyball team is from Brazil... yep, they are good players. I don't understand the language though!
5 PM's in 6 years, and possibly a new No.6 in two weeks? But anyway; Brazil.. not good numbers of late.
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say our education system is successful, sure, it's not a failure but it isn't world leading by any stretch of the imagination. Everything else you said though is true.
