Brass coloured light switch covers

    i bought a brass light switch cover from Bunnings, i did think that all they did was go over the old light switch just like a cover but it seems its too small and wont fit on, then it got me thinking are we supposed to take the old white cover off and replace it with the brass one?
    If so wouldnt that require a electrician ? image.jpg

    Those are plate covers. Are they the same brand as the existing ie HPM etc?

    Old white cover clips off. New one clips on. No sparky required.
    If cover does not fit, you need to replace the whole thing with HPM or a Chinese knock off at 1/2 the price. Technically for this you will need a sparky.
