While I do have eBooks, I do prefer hard copy.

My latest read was "Somme Mud" by EPF Lynch. A chilling read but a good one. Read it in less than a day.

About to start "A Fortunate Life" by AB Facey

Great for when you are driving, walking, gym or doing tasks around the house.

Physical books are great as well as your children (if you have any) will see you reading and do like wise.

I still love the physical books - some I have audio, pdf and a real version. Audio is easier but you can then go back and find stuff using the PDF or kobo by searching and then high light it in the physical book.

I'd like to read that too - is it a short book?

    LOL! Yeah ... it's short.

"Believe me, it is a sign of a great man, and one who is above human error, not to allow his time to be frittered away: he has the longest possible life simply because whatever time was available he devoted entirely to himself. None of it lay fallow and neglected, none of it under another's control; for being an extremely thrifty guardian of his time he never found anything for which it was worth exchanging." - Senaca; On the Shortness of Life

You reading 2 at once? I do that too.

At the moment I am reading Posner-Case Closed Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK.

Best book on the assassination to cure the sickness of conspiracy theories.

Yeah - reading both "at once". Depends on my mood which book I pick up for my night time reading.

Just got Principles after listening to Dalio being interviewed. Any good? Somehow never heard of him but sounds like a Buffet-esque kinda guy with all his wisdom and success.

Side Hustle and The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau were also great reads for any of those looking to start a little somethin' somethin' on the side. He's also got an interesting podcast where he discusses a successful startup each day- The Side Hustle Show - Podcast for Making Money in Your Spare Time

@House - heard Ray Dalio first on a podcast too. Am about 1/4 of the book in, and am enjoying it. He outlines his mistakes, his arrogance early on and has good self awareness to learn from his mistakes.

    I've read 2. It's excellent.

Can you give 1. a bit of a review when you've finished it?

I'm working my way thru the Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" series - need something light and fluffy and humorous atm.

Saddened to hear Sue Grafton died recently - no "Z" novel :( but rather fitting

on Principles - about 2/3 of the way through. First part is a bit of his history, second part is life principles. Practical and honest, Ray writes out this book which feels like, lessons he wants to impart to his readers. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I did not buy a copy of the book, borrowed it from the library and, will probably not get to finish it by the end of the week, will have to renew it. There are several nuggets of wisdom from an experienced, smart, methodical investor and, family man. The book is written and presented well. There is a section where he summarizes work principles, so you can pick and choose which ones you want to read or skip. (Either Ray or Tim Ferris or perhaps someone else, is writing this style e.g. Tools of Titans or Tribe or Mentors ).

    Third part is Work principles.

Just finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman via Audible (audio book), got 30 days free when I purchased something. The book started off slow but I loved how it all came together in the end.
