@Azazel I use train time to practice Italian and property chat these days (hehehe on train now).. My train time is about to diminish soon and I'm about to go on maternity leave in about 4-5 weeks!

Hi JMica, Nice, I'm multitasking on the train right now.
That means more time for property research. And congrats, hope it all goes well!

I add my vote for George Clason The Richest Man in Babylon also. also. Has had a big impact on me with the pay yourself first mindset.

I also agree that The Richest Man in Bablyon was a fantastic read in changing the mindset.

This is good but it's a bit overwhelming.
Any chance of like a top 10 books to read. I'm guessing the richest man in Babylon is in there. I hope so, I've just started reading it.

Fabulous book..one of the 'must reads' for attaining success.

My top 2 favorite takes that you can apply to your Investment / Business world, from Sun Tzu...

    1. Winning Strategies: Offensive vs Defensive
“Good fighters first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, then wait for an opportunity to defeat the enemy, and they do not miss the moment of defeating the enemy. To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity to defeat the enemy is provided by the enemy themselves.”

    2. Executing Your Plan Without Emotion
“A clever fighter is one who not only wins, but excels in winning with ease. Hence his victories bring him neither reputation for wisdom nor credit for courage. It is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.”

Read this book on a long flight from Australia to Asia. Really made me think about where I was headed and to implement to leanings from this book. Its my fav book of all time due to the impact it had on my life and I have recommended it to other family members and friends.

I just read a book I downloaded on my Kindle. I thought it might be a bit heavy but it is actually a really practical and unique way of explaining how simple it is. Fun to read actually.

It's called How an economy Grows and why it crashes. Peter D. Schiff.

Are there any books aimed specifically at sub-divisions and putting a new unit/townhouse out the back of your property with little headaches?

I'd like to learn more about the history of property cycles, ripple effects, how longs booms usually last, and the amount of time between booms in different capital cities.
