Sounds like a very sensible idea.

All you need now is a few rod holders. Looks great!

Everything's good when you're baked. Especially baking.

That looks great - huge respect! When I was a teenager, I wanted to build something like that. Bought the plans, the tools ect, but then never got around to it :( Ended up just buying a plastic sea kayak instead.

Went out in the old folks kayak the other day at redland bay. Was awesome.

This boat idea is happening lol.

Im thinking a trailerable sail boat for around 15k. Wind power will save on those ridiculous fuel bills. Plus being on a trailer means no berth fees.

After the next refinance im going boat shopping. Burning out with the renos and need a break/something fun.

Lots of nice trailer sailers around for relatively cheap prices . Was all the go 20 years ago but not as much now. My dad had a Hartley TS 16 many years ago . Spent years racing lasers and NS14's . I like the Elliot's but we went with the syndicate on a bigger boat .

Ordered this from the states in April, finally arrived last week with production delayed a bit due Covid19. Something to take the kids out on in the local waterway and dash the 20klm to FADs for Mahi Mahi in summer, tops out just on 80/Kmh. Was always super keen on fishing as a kid but dad wouldn’t take me and no boat...I’m clearing the calendar and watching the weather closely! 9955F037-A334-4BBE-8482-E6772E588A2D.jpeg

Mate, I'm too lazy to take my kids down the road to fish off a jetty let alone gear up a boat, hook it up to a 4WD etc. I'm already exhausted just thinking about it.

Yeah I couldn’t be bothered with trailering..it lives in a marina, walk on walk off! Power and water at the dock, fuel berth etc. Couldn’t be easier. Wouldn’t get much use otherwise if I had to queue at boat ramp with the punters on the weekends
