    I've got an idea......

Now, this is me talking without confirming with Hubby, so don't know if we've got anything planned for earlier in the day, or knowing what the facilities are like...BUT...

For those who want to arrive early @ 4.00pm......I could bring my Cashflow game

    What do you think?

I'm always keen for a game.
I've not been to the venue, anyone know if the venue would suit a play through?

Glenbrook panthers might be a better idea? I'm not sure how busy they get for Saturday dinner but lapstone is smaller and does get busy and noisy - as most places do!

Actually what about o'donoghues pub in emu Plains? There was a fire i think i heard but upstairs has a function room which if it's not being used is normally quiet. There's no costs but could be a good spot.they used to be happy for people to go up and get away from the noise and find a quiet spot. Not sure what it's like now though. ... it may have burnt down:oops:

I've never been to the function room, but we went there recently, after the fire. They've got (or had, it might be fixed now) a portable commercial kitchen that they're using, so they are still open as usual. The only thing that was closed was the original kitchen.

    Did you go down stairs?
I just rang them and upstairs on saturdays is reserved for functions till next year with the silly season approaching but he said they've recently opened down stairs in the old cellar which is more for dining and would be good for a group to sit and talk. That could be good especially if you're thinking to go early and secure a few tables

No, I didn't! I've only been there a handful of times, usually just for lunch & have sat in the alfresco area. The cellar sounds good though.

Ok all - It's only a week and a bit away.
As I've mentioned earlier - I've not been to any of these locations - so happy to run with the will of the people. However somewhere quieter where we can all chat and chill is preferable.

Might need to run a poll, haha

    Current options are:
    lapstone hotel
    Royal hotel, Springwood
    O'donoghues, emu plains
    Glenbrook panthers

@bob shovel - more your turf, happy to run with your suggestion here.

Are we doing it at night time or during the day?

My Niece's end of year dance performance is on the same date... i'm going to that because I've never seen her perform live. She does cheerleading and her school is the state dancing champ... she also personally won in the solo and duo divisions... she's amazing.

I am ok at this point.

But please choose somewhere we can talk, and sit, I can't say anything else because do not know the venues.

I'm still in. I vote for springwood, the Lappo or Glenbrook.

I'm likely not going to be able to make it. We get back the start of that week and have to unpack and pick up a car and washing machine etcplus start a new job on Monday. So chances are I'll be flat out. But great to see some numbers for something close by :)

We stopped in for a meal at Lapstone on Sunday arvo. It's only a small venue with not a lot of seating. I'm not sure how happy they'd be for us to monopolise their prime time seating for a meeting. Plus, you'd probably have to book the tables. I vote elsewhere!
