@Gockie, when we took down the pink verticals this morning I thought about recycling them. I was going to leave them on your back deck just to annoy you.

Gosh I hate blinds. Always breaking and needing to be dusted. Curtains every time.

Yesterday was 35degrees and the electricity was finally turned off - no fans or air con. We installed the new white blinds and changed over all the fixtures in the bathroom from cute 1980s white to chrome with ceramic washers and quarter-turn taps. We had to return this morning to adjust one set of taps. Hubby asked me, just as we were getting into the car, did I want to make pelmets for the blinds and repaint all the window frames. There were holes in them from removing the brackets from the old blinds.

"Sure, I'd love to". This should take all day, I thought to myself. Why didn't he mention this an hour ago so I could make coffee and lunches? Temperature was much cooler today and I went to Bunnings by myself to get pine architraves to make into pelmets, and lunch. We finished by 3:30 pm, thankfully. I meant to take some photos of Mark in the tiny bathroom with silicone, taps and washers everywhere, but kept getting distracted. Same with the "after" photos of the white blinds and their awesome pelmets.

When we got home he took the Camper onto the road, opened it up and did something inside it. He tossed me the tape measure: "Want to measure the windows so you can make a set of blinds for the camper".

Sure have - I replaced 1980s verticals in my IP/now PPOR with 3 vertical honeycomb blinds. Approx size was 3m x 2m. Very good quality - relatively easy to fit (would be easier with two people) but manageable with one. Reading the instructions carefully helps - if you need support suggest doing it during a weekday.

Just take your time with measuring and then installation - the old advice of "measure twice, cut once" applies.
