Pretty high, 2% for BTC, 3% for other coins (each way between AUD and crypto). Typically 0.001 coin to send to an external wallet. 1% to transfer between coins. I did most of my buying 2 weeks ago (again, I'm a noob) and all my coins are in the green even after these fees...

    And BCH soon :)

I found a good guide here (only after I finished that round of buying, naturally) that suggests a sensible spread:

as well as a suggested regambl....I mean, reinvestment strategy:

Bought it from the Ledger website... grabbed 2 to soften the cost of shipping, just posted one off to a friend today. Once he receives it, he's going to reimburse me in ETH by transferring from his ledger to mine... pretty awesome :)

Accessing the device just requires a 4-8 digit PIN which is already quite tedious to enter using the 2 buttons on the device... an alphanumeric passphase would be a real chore! 24-word recovery key as with other wallets.

Those 24 words pretty much define the seed by which all the crypto currency wallets are generated, so I can duplicate my ledger by restoring a new one with those words.

Very limited storage on the device, which means that if I want to store more than 4 currencies on it, I have to first uninstall the apps for them (1 per currency). Thanks to the 24 word seed though, this is done without losing the coins themselves... I just lose the ability to transact until I reinstall the app. Ledger Manager (chrome app) makes this a piece of cake though.

If you use a paper crypto wallet, it can... :) I did this for a short while before I decided that I didn't want such an amount of money on a vulnerable piece of paper (even though the private key is encrypted.)

Love slim wallets. Have been using an Allett for years, when it kicks the bucket I'll be giving the Bellroy a run. Just started using the Bellroy key cover a few weeks ago; pretty solid.

You only need to YouTube crypto tutorials to get a start. Maybe we should have a crypto Meetup. Also there are crypto meet ups . If you go to meet ups website and search for crypto you will find monthly meet ups. Search “bitcoinSYD”

Just been winging it here....The only thing I can add is its hard to call it "investing". I.e don't put any money in that you can't afford to lose.

Not buy and hold- unless you can stomach 50% drawdown

It’s looking for trends but with a Index Filter. Want to be involved when the market is trending up not down

like @chylld said. buy cryptos from exchange and send it to your private wallet for safekeeping offline, just in case the exchange itself collapses. i haven't done anything with the coins as i have been too busy. (or cant be bothered...i know i know). i'm the hodler.

Once it stays above $10,000 for longer terms bitcoin will get some serious loving, even from speculators and negative people.

    Watch this space.

    Love it, love it.

Just posted in another thread but saw this appears to be the main one.
My interest has definitely started to peak! Coming from an IT background the technology is one thing but I'm more intrigued by the "investing" side of things.

Call me crazy but I really can't see this as a lose in the short to mid term so long as you stick to most of the main coins. The momentum hasn't even even though we see BTC at 10k.

Don't get me wrong I'm not about to bet everything on that statement but definitely hoping to build upon the 1k I have invested in IOTA.
