My dad's 70th birthday is coming up and i wanted to give him something sentimental as he doesn't need material stuff. Also we dont express emotions much so this is my chance. Thinking to frame our picture with a poem I wrote at the bottom. What you think?

    POEM
To an inspiration that moves me

To an influence and wisdom that pervades me

To a gentleness and caring that nurtures me

To a strength and steadiness that carries me

To a reach and courage that shapes me

To a heart that comforts and supports me

And to a soul that unrelentingly loves me

    To this man, my father.

    Happy 70th birthday.

He may express some emotions after this.
    Absolutely do it.
Parents deserve this type of love and respect from their kids. They have given you a lot.
    Your turn ....

Thanks Guys, Ok I'll go for it. It's hard being vulnerable.

And to make it even more precious, hand write the poem, so much more special than any fancy font.

My brother delivered the eulogy when my father died. Mum asked him for the written draft for her to keep. Brother thought he was doing the right thing and had it neatly typed up. Mum confided that she would have much preferred it in his handwriting.
