Wonder if my wife is going to make my girls cake again next week? This is when she made Captain Barnacles.

I'm forking out close to $140 for someone else to make a bunny cake so I don't look like the bunny this birthday! Money well spent after making roughly 21 birthday cakes to date. You'd think I'd be good at it by now....nup! They always taste good atleast :D

Ha ha ha. You got me.
This flashed up on my facebook memories tonight and had me in stitches, again.

I'm still in the bad books for buying the wrong icing and ruining it.

She baked it, I cut it out and decorated it. I blame my wife, and she blames me

In that case... its you, not your wife. The baking is fine, nothing wrong with that. You used the wrong icing, what you need is the icing you dont add water to. You should go to a speciality cake decorating store to get the right kind. Also your cutting it out leaves a lot to be desired. This makes me question your abilities as a surgeon.... ;)

I'm not au fair with Captain Barnacles, sounds like a pet name for..... Something. But, that cake looks a bit satanic!

Buy the Women's Weekky children birthday cake book.
I believe it has been re-printed.
    Best value ever.
    Even includes the icing recipe.
Used it for all my kids birthdays and now my daughter is using it for her kids.
    Basically fool proof.

This is my major cake fail

In my younger years I was a nanny in USA and I made a birthday cake for the birthday boy, with icing on the top

unfortunately What I thought was a tube of icing was actually a tube of medication for toddlers teething l, designed to numb the mouth.

    What a disaster.....

I think you should have had independent building inspections at each stage of construction.
