I was quite sad when bored to death finished mid arc so to speak. Fargo Season 2 was excellent and Master of None was ok light entertainment.

There are some really good ones around besides the mainstream stuff.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt just started again, one of the exceptions.
    Idiotsitter was pretty good too.
    Oh and Documentary Now.

Watched first episode of Suits last night - I think it could be ok. Some of it's a bit cheesy - but seems entertaining enough.

    Cheers

I think it gets better as it goes. From about Series 2 it gets over the novelty of the premise and gets deeper into some meaty stuff.

I think series 5 is available from US Netflix, but only up to series 4 here.

I had a go but couldn't get into it.
    Just too cheesy and predictable.

Not sure if it is mentioned but Netflix's Bloodline had me hooked. It is a slow-burn drama/thriller with a great cast (Ben Mendhelson is awesome! So despicable!), and a build-up to an interesting ended. Highly recommend it!

UK's Black Mirror is also worth a look but I can only watch a couple at a time. Basically this series are stand-alone mini films of possible futures (both near and far) based on technology's influence on humanity. It has that brooding, melancholy-esque vibe that so many UK shows have (it must be all that rain and crap weather; gets into a screenwriter's head haha!) But worth a look for something different.

    It was pretty good.
The guy from Friday Night Lights was convincing as the cop brother too.

Yeah I was surprised to hear there will be a second season. Seemed pretty wrapped up. Launches in May on Netflix so we will see!

    Oh cool.
I wonder if they'll all be back - well besides Ben Mendelsohn's character.

The other one I've loved for years but never really ook off here is this udicrous black comedy Nighty Night.

Anyone seen it? Jill Tyrell is my favourite comedic villaness of all time!

Two from people who wpuld like an alternative from the mainstream

"Still Game" - a BBC Scotland comedy about two retired widowers in Glasgow.

"The Gods of Wheat Street" - a short series set in Casino NSW- an aboriginal family and their struggles. Although I didn't really like the way it all came together nicely through dubious means; despite this, quite enjoyable.

All time favourite - Boston Legal! For the more contemporary - True Detective S1, Orange is the new Black, Homeland and Madam Secretary is not bad either.

    Broadchurch was stunning.

Also really enjoyed Redfern Now and Janet King.

Also, Fortitude - a murder mystery set in a mining settlement in Iceland: visually beautiful with a really unusual and shocking story arc. and back stories.

Agreed - had to have a day between episodes. Great show - just heavy.
