Um - wasn't Mad Max in English ... granted Aussie English but still ... or are you talking about a Spanish version?

p.s. the dubbing of Heist that we saw was really well done and flawless

p.p.s. there is a huge difference in speaking basic French to the shopkeeper, to trying to keep up with the news ... I'm feeked

It was dubbed for US audiences
8 Reasons Why Mad Max Is the Most Improbable Franchise of All Time
... the entire Australian voice track was overdubbed with American actors in a “cartoonish manner” and all the Australian slang was replaced with American terminology. It wasn’t until 2001 that an American release of Mad Max featured the actual voice of Mel Gibson.

    AWAY......

    On Netflix

A cross between Lost in Space, Mars (the documentary style/future cross over), The Martian, and what could be perceived to be our very near future ;)

Sure it gets lost on it's connection (focus) on the daughter back on Earth, but I ended up watching season 1 in a day (when I had better things to be doing ).

Was great to have a bludge day :p

Didn't post a link/video to the show, but watch it and this PIC will soon make sense :D

I quite enjoyed Nurse Jackie, available on Netflix using a US VPN, and apparently on Stan. It's about a nurse in NYC who has many issues with family and drug addiction. It's not too heavy, not too light, and good entertainment.

Bingeing on this at the moment. Very, very dark. Loving it!

Based on the character of Nurse Ratched from the novel "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest"

Just finished “The Queen’s Gambit”. Fantastic, clever series. I have not one clue about chess, but still loved this series.

This has proved to be one of Netflix's most popular series. We really enjoyed it. Apparently they've taken great pains to ensure accuracy in the way games are played - in the actual.games as well as the way players make moves. Chess great Gary Kasparov (world number one for many years) was a consultant.

I used to quite enjoy the Vicar of Dibley back in the day. They've now done a lockdown special - as three separate very short episodes, then combined into a single show, available on ABC iView

The Vicar Of Dibley in Lockdown (2020)

    2020 Favourites:
    • The Queen's Gambit (Netflix): Set during the Cold War era, orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon struggles with addiction in a quest to become the greatest chess player in the world.
    • Unbelievable (Netflix): When a teen reports being raped, then recants her story, two female detectives follow evidence that could reveal the truth; based on a true story.
    • Selling Sunset (Netflix): Selling real estate in the Los Angeles market can be glorious, given the area's sunny location and an abundance of the rich and famous living there. It can also be cutthroat as agents fight over clients and properties.
    • Everything's Gonna Be Okay (Stan): After their father's untimely death, Nicholas and his two half-sisters are left to cope with not only a devastating loss, but also the realization that Nicholas is the one who will have to rise to the occasion and hold it all together.
    • After Life (Netflix): Struggling to come to terms with his wife's death, a writer for a newspaper adopts a gruff new persona in an effort to push away those trying to help.
    • Sex Education (Netflix): Socially awkward high school student Otis may not have much experience in the lovemaking department, but he gets good guidance on the topic in his personal sex ed course -- living with mom Jean, who is a sex therapist.
