I've been a bit forgetful / busy of late - so haven't updated the stats recently.

    23/7/17 - weight: 112.5kg - waist 117.5cm
    30/7/17 - weight: 112.3kg - waist 117.0cm
    06/8/17 - weight: 113.0kg - waist 116.0cm

As I observed in my journal thread, my weight loss has plateaued somewhat, but my waist loss hasn't. I suspect I'm going through an extended period of body recomposition at the moment. Perhaps converting fat to muscle - which is why I'm still losing fat around the waist, but not losing weight.

Anyway, diet hasn't been optimal the past few weeks, hoping to get into more of a routine in the next few weeks.

I'll do another weigh-in tomorrow morning.

I'm sticking to my diet (mostly) but still cannot shift the weight.

    60.2 today

I shudder to think what would happen if I didn't stick fairly closely to the calories I'm consuming...

    101 kg this week. :(

My weight loss has stalled for the last fortnight. I'm hoping that I get a big drop in the next week or two. I tend to lose it in a stepwise fashion, so it could just be the plateau before the fall.

101.1 kg this week, with a low of 99.9 kg. I've been bouncing around 100 to 101 kg for a bit now.

Fitness First at Melbourne Central is celebrating its twelfth birthday this week, and had a fancy body composition machine. I made a charitable donation to get my measurements taken, which came out as:
    • Height: 188 cm (I'm 2 cm shorter than I though)
    • Weight: 103 kg
    • Bodyfat: 16.4%
My Fitbit Aria scales put my bodyfat at 14%. I thought that number was somewhat mythical, but it's actually closer than I expected. :)

Bad news? My visceral fat is a bit higher than it should be. The system put it at Level 8, not sure what that works out as in real numbers, but I was told to get it down to 4.

Oh, and there's an InBody Score, which had me at 98/100, which the guy operating it said was the highest he'd seen all week. Athletes (and also steroid users) can get this over 100.

100.1 kg. Gone down a bit from last week, but still sitting in the same range.

My diet hasn't been great this week, and training had a setback yesterday when my back decided to play up. I'm not winning. :(

I'm travelling back to the UK for a few weeks next Monday, so I'll probably not be updating this for a bit.

Seems like I did my fat test this morning on the same type of unit - InBody.
    I only got a 90/100 InBody score, don't know how it's calculated.
I'm 79.4kg at 183cm and want to drop a few KG to increase my power to weight ratio and would be nice to look shredded in summer too, but still holding a bit too much fat.

Body fat was measured at 8.5%
    Visceral fat level was 2.

@Ace in the Hole you're just showing off with that body fat reading. :p

Wouldn't dropping below 8.5% body fat impede your performance? Bodybuilders compete at 4% to 6%, and by all accounts they're wrecks at that level.

I thought that the InBody score might have been based around a person's fat free mass index (FFMI), which is roughly BMI calculated for lean weight. Mine's about 24, yours is 21.5, and multiplying them by four would get into the ballpark of our respective figures.

The test results say my BMI is 23.8, but I was told the InBody score hats adjusted on subsequent scans, this was my first time, have you had a scan before @Graeme ?

I don't feel low fat at the moment, diet is quite loose and current condition was gained via some resistance exercise and sprinting, no cardio.

I believe an active body on a loose diet will be healthier and superior in all areas than a non-active body an a perfect diet, although the activity must be at an intense enough effort to stimulate the body.
For this reason I don't put much focus on diet, but try to be relatively consistent with day to day calorie intake.

I haven't tried an InBody scan before, so I don't know how things are tracked. As I said, I just wanted a better measurement of where I am at.

I don't know how accurate the InBody system is. I'd hope it's better than calipers by the average PT. If I was serious, I'd go along for a DEXA scan...

Regardless of diet, if you look like your avatar, you're doing something right. :)

    99.3 kg today. :)

After sitting at just over 100 kg for a month, I've finally seen some movement. Unfortunately I'm going back to the UK for a few weeks to visit friends and family, so my diet is going to be on hold.

I do recall seeing an article a while back about a fancy toilet that had scales built into the seat.

The past month has been incredibly busy - haven't had time to focus on working out ways to break through this plateau I'm in, nor to do any serious exercise.

I'll add some discussion about my eating in another thread.

    13/08/2017 - weight: 113.3kg - waist: 116.0cm
    20/08/2017 - weight: 113.1kg - waist: 116.0cm
    27/08/2017 - weight: 112.8kg - waist: 116.0cm
    04/09/2017 - weight: 112.5kg - waist: 116.0cm
