We use the pressure cooker for dried beans very frequently. We have a combination cooker which can also slow cook, but we love the speed of pressure cooking. Of course, we use beans a lot for Mexican cooking; we stumblrd across the use of a pressure cooker by accident. It's not a traditional mexican technique.

    I'm confused...
It might not be the data result I was after, but it's certainly a result.

    Again, sorry for my tardiness.

Congratulations to @Kinnon Bell as this weeks 'Biggest Loser' with a whopping 2.11% loss (and now Kinnon's BMI has dropped into the green healthy range, so again well done). Must have been the weekend adventure, all alone solo with her husband out in the wilderness. Plenty of calories burned hey? ;)

Notable mention also to @skater with a loss of 1.53% for the week.

Keep up the great work everyone. The conversation is really great reading as well.

Ha, that weigh in was actually before our little adventure. I weighed myself Tuesday morning and had put on 200g since the Saturday weigh in which, whenever I have pizza, guarantees a 1kg gain overnight so would have lost ~800g during that 48hr period.

They're quite tasty actually :) but $9.95 per meal is equivalent to me going out getting lunch, so maybe only when I really need it

Nope. Nothing fresher than home cooked meals ;) The main benefits is that I don't need to cook + can plan for the calories, but then, I can just go out and buy salad/ eat less

Every individual is different and depending on whether one is super busy, I would suggest cooking fresh meals. The benefits are threefold
    - Fresher and healthier home cooked meals (depends what you cook though).
    - Usually less expensive
    - Just that effort to go and buy ingredients and then cook is a type of exercise itself :)

Yes. I can sit at my desk and get starving. Or I can hit the reno for a few solid hours of demolition and not really be that hungry at all. Could by hydration because I tend not to drink enough water... at my desk or when working. But yeah, I really notice the difference in hunger levels.

We do the same. Soak the beans for 24-48 then cook up the beans in passata, herbs and spices in the pressure cooker. This "base" gets used for lots of different meals. It's tasty and makes some very quick subsequent meals.

There would hardly be any Indian household that does not have a pressure cooker, or two.

Going out for lunch = walking and exercise :D
I only buy for this week and will get back to packing food this weekend. Didn't get the chance last Sunday as I try to prep both mine and hubby, so at least 8-10 boxes to prep. Afterall, I should not be the only one who eat more veg

Would love pressure cooker, but got no space :(

Well done Kinnon Bell, especially getting into the healthy zone! Your weight loss has been really consistent. I thought that pizza wouldn't do too much damage to the process considering the circumstances.

Thanks Wattle :) I am very goal oriented so just need something to work towards which this challenge has given me.

I wasn't too concerned about the pizza either considering the prior couple of days! (I did also have maccas for breakfast but just nibbled as opposed to gorging myself).

Not too sure what to expect for this coming weigh in as I have been eating fine but haven't been exercising which I really need to do and the scales aren't changing much. Been flat out but just need to prioritise exercise which I'm not doing at the moment.

But I'm still hungry... maybe chosen the wrong meal on my swimming day - 220cal meal + 2 protein ball (100cal)

Which meal only has 220 calories?
Must have been a lean protein meal with only green vegies.
I usually got for the meals with more carbs on my workout days.
