I agree. NHL isn't half bad live. Watched the Rangers at MSG. Hard to see the puck if ur not used too it though so sometimes it just looks like rugby being played on skates with sticks lol.
I find the crowds at NHL games more rowdy which can cut both ways.

Yeah, I actually found the puck easier to see at the game than I do watching on TV but agree it can be difficult at times.

NHL is comfortably behind the NBA, NFL, NCAAB and NCAAF for me as a sport but I enjoyed it more than the NBA games I went to (about 5 in the end), the NFL game was the last game at Candlestick for the 49ers so it was kind of special and hard to compare and the college stuff is on a different level to attend from the crowd and atmosphere (lower standard generally though, not as much in football, imo).

Crowds certainly goes both way, it's certain a more rowdy time which generally makes it more fun, imo, but can go the other way as you said!

Yeah I miss his podcasts - Jalen and Jacoby just don't do it for me. I like the starters on NBA.tv - I've been listening to them for ages.

I don't really have a team - just players I like to watch. I watch most cavs, clips, Warriors, Bulls games. I even watch most lakers game to catch kobes last season :-( painful to watch them though.

Jacoby actually left grantland right before ESPN canned it as a big F.U to Simmons.
The pods I'm listening to at the moment are:
    Bill Simmons pod (by HBO)
Open Floor w Chris Mannix (si.com)
Dan Le Batard is also quite entertaining although they don't have much bball stuff.
If u still have tickets to buy on seat geek use code 'open floor' for $20 off.

Go to the Hockey. It is a magnificent spectacle live and Staples is a great arena. You will love it.

Can prob build a triplex with all kobe's bricks !!! Could also get $6 tickets for the sixers, however you would prob get more skill and entertainment from watching a d-league game than watching the sixers...

I hate kobe, doesn't pass the ball and rips teammates not to mention his rape charge. Utah would be good for $4, pity Exum is injured they have some talent and will do well in upcoming seasons. Gobert, Favors and Hayward. Hood looks like a solid pro also. Ozzie Ingles usually gets 10-20 mins also

    Enjoy

Just got back from the states and watched Hawks @ Pelicans

Watched Davis finish with 42 points (shot close to perfect in the second half) including corner 3's, post ups, dirk style fade aways, tip backs, cross overs.

As a massive basketball fan, I was totally geeking out. Bonus - wife had a blast as well!

    Cheers

I'm a Kobe fanboy. Obviously he isn't playing at all-star levels but I want to see him in the game one last time.

Can't argue with your picks though.

once you're at the game.. an experience like no other.. I behaved like a 5 yr old on red cordial!

Enjoy your trip and dont forget to vist the NBA store in New York. They just re-opened recently. It's HUGE.
