Best value for renting in Sydney

    Looking to move within Sydney currently living in Lane Cove, but rental prices seem to have risen a lot there compared to what we are paying now for worse quality apartments.

    Work in North Sydney, dont want to travel too far (30 mins)

    I'm looking for suggestions of liveable suburbs for a rental 2 bed less than $500 per week?

    With the median price of 1 bidders heading towards $600k (& 2 beds over $700) it is difficult.

    Have a look around North Ryde/Macquarie Park/Epping/Eastwood or West Ryde/Ermington

    We are renting a 2 bedder (decent but not brand new, 2nd bedroom is a bit small) for $525/week in Rushcutters Bay. Were pretty excited when we found it, we were thinking we'd be at least 10kms out west with our budget (we moved from Canberra) :)
