Best TV series - 2021

Love on the spectrum season 2. The participants are amazing people, so full of character and honesty. The wedding in the final episode is the most joyous wedding I've ever seen.

In the past week I've had multiple people who have never watched an Asian drama insist I watch the squid game and rave about it
I've seen multiple pics and memes that made no sense to me, until I realised it was about the squid game

It must be damn good.

It's super weird but I felt compelled to continue watching. Apparently the better way to watch is leave in original Korean soundtrack but have English subtitles on. The translation is meant to come across better. I found this out after I watched the dubbed English version. Far out they speak so cranky... a lot!

 

Not exactly how I would describe it, but I did find it compelling in a weird, trainwreck, OMG, kind of way.

Squid game is good but “crash landing on you” is the ultimate rom com. In Korean and so much more moving than anything I have seen in recent decades. I’m a bloke who never watches this genre, but have been glued to this one. Definitely a 9/10 from me.

 

‘My name’ (k drama) is also very good and on Netflix. But you must watch with the original language rather than the dubbed version. Those that complained about squid game having bad acting- I went back and watched some episodes dubbed in English and realised that that was the problem - the voice actors are terrible.

 

Great. Will give it a go
