Maybe wrong thread for this post.

4corners today ran a story on Pandora papers, super rich, some politically exposed ppl.

Australia is a 'destination' for international money/wealth.

So if we are all priced out of real estate, this might be the culprit!

    Squid game!

Watched the first episode last night and it was excellent! If the next 8 episodes are as good as the first then this is a true gem-tight writing, smart social commentary and no long-winded filler scenes that so many TV series suffer from.

I've seen it as well, but I wouldn't really recommend it. To me it was one of those shows that you have to watch to the end, hoping it would get better.

@skater Saw the trailer and the acting looked terrible so didn't bother watching it.

The acting IS terrible. It's like a train wreck. BUT the story is unique. Lots of bloodshed.

DO NOT LET YOUR DAUGHTER WATCH IT! !!

I've come across a Nordic comedy on Netflix, set in the times of the Vikings at the close of the 8th century. The program is called Norsemen.

They produced and English and Norwegian series simultaneously. They shot the scene in Norwegian, man's did it again in English - so there's no pesky dubbing or subtitles.

I find it good fun, with understated humour generally, though trending into black humour and just plain gory at times.
    .
Thee seasons, on Netflix, which I would rate 8/10

Til Death is a good one. on Netflix.

A woman wakes up to find herself chained to her husband with handcuffs, then he shoots himself in the head committing suicide. She is stuck in a house in the middle of nowhere and he has removed all tools and sharp objects from the house. He had messaged her boyfriend who later arrives as well as some criminals who are looking for diamonds in the safe..

I'm only going to watch it if I'm guaranteed that the dead hiusband's elaborate and cunning plan works out.

So sick to death of evil geniuses not getting the rewards from all the hard work.
