We went with Emirates Business class this time last year to London then Berlin then Amsterdam then back to London all with Emirates over 7 weeks ..Price wise they are mostly the same but the minute you sit down with Emirates they look after you 1000%...The way is to sign up with that airline and they will send different deals once a month-at least you have the time to plan..imho..

Flightcentre just released some early bird fares to Europe. Cathay Pacific seem to be cheapest around $5.5k pp Brisbane to Paris/Rome/Amsterdam/London travel between 01 March and 20 Aug 2019

Qatar amazing.... but don't book business for starters.... economy.... then they send you an email prior to flight to upgrade.... and wham, you pay an additional $1000... works well for me....

BTW.... BC Qantas does not come close to Qatar... I think voted number 1 last time I looked.

Skyscanner.com.au put in the locations and it'll bring up the best/cheapest/quickest ways and then you can choose from there what suits you.

We're going by Emirates at Christmas time, will report back how it goes :)

Hopper is a handy app that tracks flight prices and sends you notifications as to when the prices change.

Doing Amsterdam to Montreal and New York to London in February business class on the A380 and Dreamliner.... but that is a result of frequent flyers points.

    Hi MTR

Interestingly Qatar was rated first in one place we looked , but for the times we're ging , we'd be going on a 777 with Qatar and the main leg , Sydney to Dubai would be on a A 380 with Emirates and their promotional video for the A 380 looks REALLY IMPRESSIVE . The 777 on the Qatar site , didn't ring the same bells for us .

With Emirates , going BC to Dubai and then economy into Europe ( 6-7 hours day light ) keeps the cost down a bit .

Re offer for upgrading to Business class , does that happen with all the air lines , and how far out does it happen ?

Can you go back and ask to upgrade yourself ?

    From our experience

Also another avenue is upgrade to BC prior to flight, this works if BC is not full
Have managed to upgrade to BC at airport for $1000 From US
Once you go BC no turning back

Not sure if this relates to the original question but There's a tonne of videos on YouTube showcasing various airline business classes.
Great to watch when you're curious to see the difference in airlines.

I got a quote through Expedia and showed the travel agent the quote and he beat it by a few dollars. Apparently, Expedia prices are very competitive.

I've heard many times that Qatar is the best Business class product on the market.

Have yet to try I'm trying to book Qatar first class first

Would never pay for business class but have flown it many times via upgrades or work. Just seems like a complete waste of money, you could have two weeks in a five star hotel for the difference

However I recently scored Singapore Airlines premium economy Barcelona to Sydney return for only 1400 euro, similar to the economy on offer, they have a special small section of premium economy which goes cheap if unsold, worth searching for. Plus the Singapore airport stopover is vastly superior to those middle eastern ones.
Leave in two weeks, looking forward to it.

With Emirates about from one week to a few days prior to leaving, you have to be quick as at the prices they offer sell out very quickly if you are in their fight points systems email system , i don't think it would pay to ring up but you never know..
