Best building insurance on large blocks?

    I know someone wanting to insure a home on 18 acres and several insurers have turned them down because it is deemed rural - anyone know who the best are in this space (assuming elders will do it but others?...)

    Perhaps look at agencies who do more Farm insurance like WFI????

    Being rural should not matter unless they are a working farm or something.....

    I know my logic is a house is a house but Terri Scheer and several others have apparently declined to insure anything over 5 acres.

    Are there any outbuildings on the place? And what do they do with the 18 acres, livestock, grow poppies, nothing?
