VIC Bendigo area- which places to avoid?

Hi, just looking at some properties online for PPOR that fits my budget and main wishlist. Any advice on which areas to avoid in Kangaroo flat and Eaglehawk? Thanks.

 

In Eaglehawk, the less desired area is the part where the tip and the railway station are. On the other hand, areas near the lakes are the more desired areas. This form the major part of Eaglehawk anyway.

Kangaroo Flat had grown a lot the last 10 years. The area around Eron, Woolcock and Dean Streets are where there are significant commission housing. Some people avoid here. As for the rest of Kangaroo Flat, I would say they are all pretty okay.

In all, Bendigo has boomed so much that there is not really a bad area anymore. You cannot afford to be choosy anymore. Even the supposed bad areas are now sought after by purchasers.

 

What's your price range? How many bedrooms would you be like? Do you like renovation? How long do you want to live there? Will you sell or rent it after moving on?

Bendigo is a big place compared to Carisbrook. Given you don't aren't desperate to be near shops etc you may find something cheaper out to town.
