I noticed an advert for a property where the agency accidentally uploaded both before and after pics... spot the difference :)

Grass has been "greened" and the sky has been digitally enhanced (but why?)

I can understand the grass, but the change in cloud type seems odd...

Clouds are different and the lawn has less weeds and looks greener in the second one.

The bikini clad model was a brunette but they've photoshopped her hair to blonde.

They photoshopped the cloud, to enhance contrast blue colour against the green. In other word, to manipulate your eyes from main object focal point which is the house.

Changing the clouds makes it look more "appealing". More heavenly and less washed out and dreary.

Haha! Yes quite right. More appealing to Gen Y?

    Well I am "looking".

"" because I still think 2016/2017 may bring about better prices, but won't rule out buying in the meantime if the right deal comes my way :)

stop press: Guest is on the market...
by the way, off topic, what are your thoughts on platinum...its looking very attractive I think. I can only see upside for it given its demand drivers and think it has more % upside than gold or silver.

Platinum to Gold ratio makes it look cheap, but that's much the same across the commodity complex in comparison to Gold at the moment. As you highlight the demand drivers are different. I guess outlook for Platinum would be more based around what you expect from global/Chinese growth (& vehicle sales)... doesn't look that rosy to me short term.

The house in the photo looks like a typical Adelaide house. Is this the only market you're doing DD and expect to buy 1-2 years old, assuming Adelaide is still a good buy in your eyes?

Its weird huh... you would think if they were going to photoshop anything, it'd be the house itself, not the surrounds!

@RetireRich101, yes only looking in Adelaide. Will get my fill here (PPOR & several IPs) before would consider looking interstate.

The picture with the dodgy grass and dull skies is from Sydney. The green grass and bright blue skies pic is from Brisbane. :)
