Yes I noticed there's a lot of sateen everywhere, hard to find good quality percale. I prefer my sheets crispy as well! Glad the chain buyers are not listening - more room for my little enterprise ;)

I do have plans to include the thicker cotton percale in my range somewhere down the line, see how go with the initial offering first. Probably two months or so to go, barring any more delays...

Post on here how you go with your purchase if you don't mind? Would love to know if it's good.

    Yeah, I'm dubious.

I would buy Target/Kmart/BigW, for sure, especially for spare sets.
    On sale even better.

Arrived and love them ... very 100% cotton - very crisp ... although they are very heavy and hot, but I expect this will "soften" after a few more washes. They are slightly oversized for the king bed - maybe commercial king beds are bigger than residential ...

    Heavy and hot?
How about last night? Was the 1st time I've felt cool in bed for a while.

Just "hot" because the cotton is so thick ... didn't need to put the extra blanket on for the last two nights (coldest nights so far this year)

Interesting that they feel hot. I understand they're heavyweight but they shouldn't stick to you which is usually what makes sheets feel too hot for me. That's why I prefer percale (which is what you got) over sateen which tends to drape closely to the body.

Size wise, maybe they'll shrink a little in the wash. I don't think they're different in size unless maybe you got one of the sheets meant to fit an extra deep mattress?

They definitely don't stick - more, just the extra thickness. A second wash and they came up even better. Got our new mattress on Friday (oh my poor back - going from squishy and sunken to straight and supported) and it's a lot deeper, so they fit perfectly - very happy

Anyone used Adairs online store? What was your experience?

Look like they have some really cool designs there.

By the way my hubby buys bed linen and every time he buys something, he buy s more expensive stuff than I do.
