Hi, I own a house and I'm building a granny flat at the back of the house.

I'm planning to move to the granny flat myself and to rent out the house.

Can someone let me know if that's legal?

Would a rental agreement be legal?

If not, would renting 3 rooms in the house for 3 boarders be legal?

If someone can point me to an expert in the field I'm happy to pay for the legal advice.

    Cheers

Are there two different people who spotted the same property?

    Is it the same person?

    Mind = Blown

Can we repeat the same questions and answers?

    No, it is a coincidence.

The other thread is asking the same question but it hasn't been answered.

If you read both threads in the other one the person is thinking about buying a house where he/she would move to the granny flat and is asking for advice.

In my case I already own the property.

So if anyone can provide an answer in any of the threads that would be appreciated.

    answer is NO.
you can not have 2 seperate household in BCC, ie you can not
    (a) live in GF and rented out main house
    (b) live in main house and rented out GF

@RPI answered in the other thread, will be more than happy to take your inquiry on billable charge
