Test the fall to the grate. The angle might be wrong.

Or the water stop angle might not be installed incorrectly.

What is the base like - tiled on a hob (i.e. with a slight step up) or is it a walk in shower ( i.e. same level as the rest of the floor)?

If the latter, did they have to lower the floor to create the walk in?

    Roughly 40 km out.

Did the sign have any bullet holes? The closer you get to the Druitt the more bullet ridden the signs are.

40 km out of what? It goes without saying that it's rough. ;)

When you get out of the airport, jump in a cab and tell the driver to head due west for about 40 km. Give the driver a compass if he's uncertain.

Neither. Not sure if that was 20 years' worth (age of the place) or just the ~8 years we'd been here. Wife's hair seems to be everywhere so I'm sure it contributed in part, though I know the previous occupier of the place had even longer hair.

I have a daughter with long hair and a shower where the water is very gradually taking longer and longer to drain away. The time is approaching when she will be getting her first lesson in plumbing issues.

Place a small level on the tiles in shower to see if there is any fall to drain, hint the tiles should not be level :D Small drain cleaner from Bunnings or hardware may clear any blockages if there is any.

I reckon the long hair contributes a fair bit to it.
And stamping down leftover bits of soap.

I second that, a warning ahead of posting that photo. The only worse thing would be if that wasn't yours. That is, you just bought an IP and had to do that yourself.

I was speaking from experience. Bought an IP and gave all the bath/shower drains a clean of all that stuff that accumulates. When it's not you own home it's amazing what a whimp you become.

Plumbers must be very brave people.
But most of them price accordingly I spose.

The hands may be smaller than yours but her arms are shorter too - you may have to hold her by the ankles and dangle her over the waste pipe ;)
