    Man returns to home to find it demolished in mix-up

    • "incorrect" address numbers
    • Guy also owned properties next door
    • demolished house just happens to be empty and vacant
    • demolition stopped conveniently with only 1 wall remaining
    • friend just happened to be driving past
    “When people have these types of businesses, they have insurances and so on, so hopefully it will all be covered.”

    Perhaps he had that hope before demolition began !

    I reckon you are onto something. Being "renovated" but if you look at the pics there is no evidence of that. That said, I have seen properties before that I would have renovated with a front end loader! :D

    So I guess all the utilities and services were disconnected for the 'wrong' house too by the relevant tradies.

    The demolishers insurance won't pay out for something like this, but the owners building insurance would probably cover it - and they would go after the demolisher to try to recover it.
